Global Youth Letter program

On September 9, BC4Y launched the Global Youth Letter program, which calls for action by young people around the world, specifically directed towards to the leaders who will be attending COP26 - The 26th United Nations Conference on Climate Change, in November 2021. The letter is the result of a large-scale study (conducted) January to March 2021) between the British Council and the non-profit social enterprise in Communities, which used a mixed approach to gather the views, experiences and aspirations of 10,000 young people over 23 countries.

BC4Y is also working with the British council, the youth and children constituency. Details from the Global Youth Letter, as well as additional comments from the 10,000 Rising campaign will contribute to BC4Y's Youth Statement and be addressed at BC4Y's 16th Youth Conference, to be held from May 10. October 28 . BC4Y will support young people through exchange and sponsorship capacity. The conference results will be presented in Glasgow, as part of Youth Empowerment Day on 5 November.

Young people are at the heart of a collaborative approach, especially when we support them to express their voices and gain the skills and networks to engage in meaningful and productive dialogue. make real changes to our planet. We hope that the letter and report will inspire you to want to contribute your ideas to the 8,000 Rising campaign.
